E-Mail Configuration: HP3000 behind a firewall

Email Configuration tips for an HP3000 with a full-time Internet connection but which cannot access (or be accessed) directly by other machines on the Internet (due to a firewall of some sort):

• Your HP3000 should NOT be configured with a default gateway in NMMGR.
• Your HP3000 MUST NOT be configured to point to a (DNS) nameserver.
• You need to configure a "trusted gateway" in NetMaint.
